Heys
Heys is a collection of my letters I send to myself. It's a way for me to step out of me and reflect on me, and life.
Hi Akash, how are you doing this fine evening?
Akash you’ve very high standards for yourself that you guard so diligently and with utmost importance. Ideally it’s cool. But there’s a slight problem here, your standards are high and your punishments (for not meeting them) extreme. It creates a vicious cycle of constantly punishing yourself. You need to give yourself a break. Let yourself off the hook you know. It’s okay to make mistakes. Just don’t let them hold you back.
Thanks, have a lovely evening

Hi Akash, how are you doing this evening?
Akash, I think there’s an objective reality and there’s a practical/present reality. And you should never ignore practical reality.
For example, do you see that star ? Now, objectively speaking that start may or may not be dead. A certain omniscient person can take a look at this objectively and answer you. But that still doesn’t discard the fact that in the present moment the star seems very real to you. That is your reality at this moment. And you cannot ignore that.
Another example, Objectively speaking, someone can make the case that you’ve everything that a person can ask for and therefore you should be happy. But that doesn’t ignore the practical/present reality that you’re not. And you shouldn’t ignore that.
Only when you accept the present/practical reality that you can move forward/be at ease.
Have a lovely evening,

Hi Akash, how are you doing this evening?
Akash, your problem isn’t that you have this desires/wants. Rather it’s the judgements that you place upon yourself for desiring/wanting those things, “you shouldn’t have that desire Akash!”. It creates tension and cognitive dissonance. Once you let go this meta level bullshit of you judging you for everything, you’ll be at ease.
Have a lovely evening,

Hi Akash, how are you doing this evening?
It is foolish to think that you can change yourself by taking some action. And Akash you beat yourself up for not taking action. But alas, it is that damn belief that haunts you. Every day. No, you don’t need to take any action. About the ONLY thing you have to do is just observe. See it for it is. I promise you, a very beautiful thing will follow, you’ll see a change within you. However, to you it wouldn’t matter because you’re just too busy being in the moment, observing, seeing.
Have a lovely night,

Hi Akash, how are you doing today?
Do you know why you're not making any changes despite you constantly having this sinking feeling that you're unhappy? Comfort. You see, all these thinking, worrying, mediocrities, etc they are very comforting to you. And your brain is like, why do we even have to venture I'm so comfortable in this mediocrity. To your brain, it's not a problem!
However, it is a problem. Because deep down you don't want this mediocrity. You don't want these comforts. You want to excel. And so you have got to overcome this Resistance. You've got be courageous.
And You'll fall along the way. Many times. Just get back up and try again.
Thanks, have a beautiful day

Hi Akash, how are you doing today?
Akash, you know what your problem is? You lack purpose. Duh. And here's the kicker, you think that you can think your way out of your lack of purpose. I.e. you can think and get to know what your deepest purpose is. Logically it makes sense. Going inward. But it's extremely hard. You know what is easy? Going outward. And here's the funny thing that happens when you go outward, the outward things/people starts acting as a mirror showing your inner you. So, you've got to be out there enjoying life, having fun. You'll find your purpose while dancing with the world. Let's go!
Thanks, have a beautiful day

Hi Akash, how are you doing today?
Sorry I was late to reach out to you today. I know that sometimes you are not strong enough. And that is okay. Take a step back, reevaluate the situation, and try again. As long as you try again, everything’s good. So keep trying my friend.
Thanks, have a lovely evening
Akash P.S. Reminds me of this quote from Dark Knight Rises, “Why do we fall? So that we can get back up again.”
