Hey Akash, how are you doing today?
I’ve been thinking about this today, you always assume that your emotions drive your behaviors but what if it’s the other way around? What if you want to drive a certain behavior and so you induce the emotions that (you’ve learnt over time) will get you there?
For example, when you’re yelling at someone, you assume that it’s because you’re angry but what if it’s your goal to yell at them and so you get angry as you know it’s easier to yell when you’re angry. Or when you’re avoiding some task because you feel uneasy, it’s more probable that it is your goal to avoid the task and so you create this sense of uneasiness.
I think it probably didn’t start this way but I suspect over time your brain learnt that it can induce certain emotions to get you to do certain things. What’d you think?
Have a beautiful day my friend
Akash
